We help ensure families of color receive high-quality care in the NICU.

Nearly 500,000 preterm babies are delivered annually in the U.S., requiring a stay in the NICU, and of those half a million babies, an increasing number of them are babies of color.

When you support The Elaine Symone Foundation, you’re helping to provide families of color with more positive NICU experiences and better outcomes for their NICU warriors. You’re also helping to ensure more families of color have access to the information, resources, and financial support they need throughout their NICU journey.

What We Do

    We connect families with a free family advocate who can help promote and protect the best interest of the family throughout their NICU journey.

  • Resources & Support

    We provide families with key information about what to expect in the NICU, as well as tips and resources to guide them throughout their NICU journey. Additionally, families can leverage our hotline/text service for 24/7 support, guidance, and information.

  • Information & Assistance

    We ensure families have the monetary and material support they need before, during, and after their time in the NICU. From helping families cover hospital bills to providing them with gas and food, we strive to lighten the burden NICU families have to bear.
